Dr. Hamzeh Ali Mohammadi, PhD


Dr. Hamzeh Ali Mohammadi, a distinguished professional with a Ph.D. from the University of Calgary, stands as a trailblazer in the oil and gas industry. His doctoral research showcased pioneering applications of machine learning in the realm of unconventional reservoirs, emphasizing his dedication to advancing the field.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Ali Mohammadi has also made significant contributions as a Senior Reservoir Engineer, specializing in pressure and rate transient analysis, as well as reservoir simulation. He is widely respected in the reservoir management domain, with his expertise leaving an enduring impact on numerous service companies and startups.

Currently serving as a seasoned Data Scientist, Dr. Ali Mohammadi leads a dynamic team at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning and AI tools for demand modeling and personalized customer experiences.

 

Mark Bender, PE

Mark Bender, P.E. is the Director of Reserves, at Apache Corporation where he has held numerous roles in Corporate Reservoir Engineering, Gas Marketing, and Business Process Management.

With over 40 years of international experience and a long-term member of CRE, Mark has made significant contributions to the field of reserves estimation, risk management, and economic evaluations. Mark leads a talented team of reserves professionals at Apache whose responsibilities include reserves estimates, technical and economic analysis of international and domestic assets, and SEC reporting.

Mark holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana. His professional affiliations include the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers.

Jennifer Fitzgerald

Jennifer Fitzgerald is Vice President, Corporate Reserves at Occidental Petroleum Corporation, following the acquisition of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Prior to joining Anadarko, Jennifer worked at Ryder Scott Company and ExxonMobil Corporation. She has extensive experience evaluating a variety of conventional and unconventional assets in basins around the world. Jennifer is an industry expert in SEC and SPE-PRMS reserves definitions.

Jennifer earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. She is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, currently serving as Chair for Monograph 5 committee and as Chair for the Council of Past Presidents. She is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Gary Gonzenbach

Gary is a Senior Petroleum Engineer at PGH Petroleum & Environmental Engineers, LLC, with over 30 years of experience in reservoir engineering and petroleum economics. Registered as a Petroleum Reservoir Engineer in Texas, he specializes in acquisition, divestiture, and expert witness roles, particularly in the Eagle Ford and Permian basins. Gary's expertise extends to statistics, machine learning, Python, and data science, enhancing his consulting and testimony services for his clients. His industry contributions include technical papers on Standardized Reserve Reconciliation and co-authoring SPEE Monograph 3, "Guidelines for the Practical Evaluation of Undeveloped Reserves in Resource Plays." His commitment to the industry is further evidenced by his past presidency of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE) and active involvement with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Gary is a graduate of Texas A&M University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He has extended his expertise into data science, completing Codeup's Data Science Program. His professional affiliations include memberships in the South Texas Geological Society, the Society of Independent Earth Scientists, and Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners.
